Phillip + Jacqueline

Phillip and Jacqueline both live in Johannesburg. Their entire wedding was planned from there but held in Port Elizabeth at our very own gorgeous "Willows" Holiday Resort. Phillip was originally from Kenya and Jacqueline from Port Elizabeth. Now if ever there was a match made in heaven, it was this match. They were married on 19th November 2011.

African Weddings have become a favorite with us. There is so much joy and celebration and huge amounts of Jubilation. The way that the guests go out of their way to done their most colourful and elegant oufits blows my mind.

One of the things that I always tell my brides is that things never turn out as planned. There is always something that will not go according to plan. I always tell them not to stress because nobody knows except for them :D
But....when the wedding is planned to start at 10.30am and the bride only arrives 2.5 hours later...well I guess that's a bit difficult to explain to over 250 guests. The amazing thing is that these awesome people just take it in their stride. While waiting for Jacqueline (who was still at the hairdresser at 11.30am) the guests were having a ball singing in the designated chapel area. Gosh it was amazing!

Phillip and his Father waited patiently outside!

The Wedding entourage bringing Jacqeline finally arrived. According to tradition the bridal party dances into the chapel area ahead of the bride, but... Jacqueline's bridemaids were no where to be found, another delay. Even although Jacqueline was besides herself  we were touched by the incredible grace she showed. An absolute angel in disguise. Jacqueline we love you!!!

And so eventually the gorgeous ceremony began with the bridal party dancing ahead of the bride...I say no more!  :D

To an amazing couple, Phillip and Jacqueline, we love you and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your incredible wedding!
